«YIA ART FAIR, A CONTEMPORARY ART SALON ORIENTED TOWARDS EMERGENT AND INTERNATIONAL TALENTS »
Founded in 2010 by Romain TICHIT, the international salon of contemporary art YIA ART FAIR celebrates this year its fifth edition, and will re-open its doors from Thursday 22nd to Friday 25th October 2015, the same week FIAC and OFFICIELLE will also take place. The YIA ART FAIR will be hosted in the exceptional halls of the Carreau du Temple (2,000 m2 of exhibition space) ; in the Marais quarter in the heart of Paris.
Oriented since its establishment towards the discovery of emergent contemporary talents, YIA ART FAIR’s salon imposes itself once again this year as the satellite salon of the Parisian Art Scene.
During four days, the international salon of contemporary art YIA ART FAIR is expected to welcome more than 20,000 visitors (among art professionals, collectors, artists, art lovers and curious individuals), and will introduce the work of more than 200 artists carefully hand-picked among sixty-five French and International Art Galleries (sixteen individual nationalities are invited to exhibit: France, Germany, Romania, United States, Japan, China, Switzerland, Belgium, Italy, United Kingdom, Georgia, Slovakia, Czech Republic, Lithuania, Israel, Netherlands).

With this fifth edition, YIA ART FAIR established a link with the MARAIS CULTURE +’s network once again, in order to offer its public an exceptional ‘outside-the-walls’ experience among the principal Institutions and Museums of the 3rd and 4th Parisians districts, such as the Archives Nationales (National Archives), the Musée National Picasso (Picasso National Museum) along with the Maison Européenne de Photographie ( European House of Photography) and many others. Fourteen locations will be involved in total, which will allow selected artists to exhibit a single artwork or a full body of work in some of the most exquisite historical venues.

Built around a jury of high calibre critics, the second edition of the YIA ART FAIR Prize for Contemporary Art will award the work of one of the participator galleries. The winner will be announced on Thursday 22nd October during the opening exhibition.
Last year’s winners, due to the quality of their oeuvre, are: Gabrielle
Conihl de Beyssac (Galerie Maubert, Paris), Sara Favriau (Galerie Maubert,
Paris), Josué Rauscher (Galerie Marine Veilleux, Paris).

During its fifth edition, the international salon of contemporary art YIA ART FAIR will host, inside the halls of the Carreau du Temple from the 22nd to the 25th October 2015, a selection of sixty-five French and International Art Galleries, representing in total sixteen individual nationalities.
