Comments: Began making etchings in 1899 and dedicated himself to this medium until his death. Most of his subjects are landscapes, village and city scenes in France, Italy, Germany, and England. Produced in small editions, his etchings are influenced by Whistler, Lepère, and Haden. In 1931, he produced a suite of twelve etchings of Chicago.
