Comments: He is said to left Germany in the late 1860s, settling as a farmer. In 1878 he auctioned his farming equipment and became a full time artist and salesman of his art. His highly detailed drawings and watercolors of local homes and businesses were bought privately, as well as for commercial and advertising use.
