Comments: Landscape artist. Also, author and illus. of booklets on literary shrines and natural history subjects. A reclusive artist, he resided with his parents until their deaths in 1953 and then moved to a cabin on nearby land. While much of his work depicts Newbury and surrounding region, he often traveled cross-country later in his life, recording the scenery of New Hampshire, Florida, and California.
