Comments: Known for her wood engravings, Skinner was an illustrator of numerous children's books. Traveled to Moscow and Kiev, 1938. Teaching: assoc. prof. art, MacMurray College, Illinois, 1946-54; public high school, East Hampton, CT, 1954-69. She and husband James Guy (see entry) ran a summer painting school for several years (1940s and 50s) from their home in East Hampton, CT. During the 1960s she painted in an Op Art style. From 1970, she lived in Camden, ME, and Hyannis, MA.
