Comments: Active in Paris from c. 1820. Was described in 1836 New Orleans newspaper as having come from France. Produced lithographic portraits of many leading New Orleans residents, was lithographer at New Orleans Bee, and one of the earliest daguerreotypists in New Orleans (1840). Cf. M.L. de Pontelli.
