Comments: Artist of a view of Bethlehem (PA) about 1853. Son of Samuel Reinke (see entry). After attending and teaching in the Moravian schools at Nazareth and Bethlehem from 1830-44 and three years as a missionary in Jamaica, Reinke was ordained in 1848. His ministry was spent at Salem (NC), Graceham (MD), Staten Island (NY), Philadelphia, and after 1865 in NYC. He was made a bishop of the Moravian Church in 1870.
