Comments: Shortly after the Bolshevik Revolution, he left Moscow for Greece and Constantinople, then France. In 1928 he married a French artist, Denise Bonhomme [1899-1989] and they settled in Ferrière-aux-‚tangs. In 1929, after studying in Paris, they left for South America, living first in La Paz, Bolivia and then settling in Buenos Aires. In 1959, they emigrated to New York City where he continued as a painter but also worked as a picture framer. His works are remarkably consistent in style and similarity to to the drip-action paintings of Jackson Pollock.
