Comments: Had a photography studio in San Francisco until she married Sidney Armer (see entry) and moved to Berkeley. She continued photography, however also developed an interest in Native American subjects and began sketching as well as photographing on the Hopi and Navajo reservations of Arizona. She wrote children's books on Indian culture which were illustrated by her husband and also contained her photographs.
