Comments: A ship portrait painter most active in Belfast, ME from 1872-on. He also provided wood engraving Illustrations for the Belfast Republican Journal, and painted signs, stage backdrop curtains, ceiling frescoes, bean pots, dog portraits, and cat portraits. He was also an accomplished violinist and led an orchestra. He was killed by a car while crossing the street.
