Comments: Known for his etchings of medieval architecture. He began as an architect but took up printmaking seriously in the early 1920s, making several trips to Europe to study Gothic architecture, which became his favorite subject. He also illustrated the writings of his wife, Dorothy Noyes. Assisted in assembling exhibitions of Am. graphic art to be sent to Sweden & Czechoslovakia, 1937, and to Rome, 1938.
