Comments: After studying in New York, Moser worked and exhibited in Toledo, Philadelphia, Boston, from 1875-77. He moved to Galvelston and Vicksburg with his family; and then to Atlanta in 1879, where he remained until 1886, marrying artist Martha Scoville in 1883. In 1886, he moved to Wash., DC, where he worked as an illustrator and an art critic for the Washington Times, the Post and the Herald. He was the illustrator, with F.S. Church, of the first published volume, Uncle Remus,1881, by J.C. Harris. Positions: free lance illustr., Harper's Century, Leslie's, and Atlantic Monthly magazines; teacher, watercolor painting, CGA & Columbian Univ. (now George Wash.
