Comments: An Impressionist, he traveled extensively every year, painting in Paris and Brittany (1903), Italy (1904), Quebec (1906), the Loire (1907), Spain and Paris (1909), Normandy (1910), Prague and Dalmatia (1912), Panama and the Caribbean (1913), and France again (1914). During WWI he was an aerial photographer. In 1919, he settled in Pasadena, CA, where he taught at the Stickney Art School from 1922-on with Guy Rose. He also taught at Occidental Col., Eagle Rock, CA, 1930s. He traveled to Mexico (1922-23, 1925, 1931), and painted in Europe again during the summer of 1936.
