Comments: He was the eldest son of Thomas Sinclair (see entry). William was brought to America as a child and grew up in NYC and Philadelphia. He was listed as a lithographer as early as 1850 and seems to have worked for his father until the latter's death in 1881. William carried on the business until 1889 and then sold out.
