Our favorites of the week #6: focus on Asia

[01.05.2020]

During the lockdown, Artmarket’s teams are posting selections of their favorites selected from Artprice’s online marketplace.

For our 6th selection this week we decided to focus on Asia!

The first two artists are rising stars in Japanese art: Chiho Aoshima and Ayako Rokkaku, both linked to the Kaikai Kiki collective that formed around Takashi Murakami. The other two are Chinese artists: the unavoidable Walasse Ting, with a superb nude among flowers and the contemporary artist Zhang Xiaogang, with an enigmatic portrait bearing that strange red line, that became a kind of signature in his famous Bloodline series.

To find out more about these works, please visit the websites of the following galleries (in respective order) Art-Castillon, Delaive, Kuntz and Opera.
