The 8th edition of Art Canton is coming on September, 15-18 this year at a Sino-Soviet Friendship Building which has over 60 years history in Guangzhou, China. Founded in 2010, ART CANTON has been recognized as “the most premier art fair” in Southern China. Adhering to the principle of “Focus on the local & Face to the world”, Original artworks from world-class masters, like Fernando Botero, Zao Wou-Ki, You Jin, Pablo Picasso, Salvador Dali, Joan Miro and Chen Yifei, have made their debut in China through this very platform in the past 7 years. Eminent galleries from mainland China, Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan, France, Britain, Korea, Singapore, America, Spain, Australia, Russia, etc., have been brought together, up to 40% of exhibitors in 2016 are non-domestic, over 3,500 pieces of high-quality modern & contemporary artworks have been unveiled.
HIGHLIGHTS IN ART CANTON 2017
Besides a wide-ranging of art works such as paintings, sculptures, photography works, showcasing a commission of Art Canton, it considers how to build up the connection between Art and the audiences. New Media Art projects will be continued in 2017, dedicating to inspire the public by making ART more approachable with the hi-tech art installations, people are able to actually feel the ART by having interactions with it. In order to make ART more close to life, a brand-new project referring the combination of art and daily merchandise will be launched. And also a series of Art Talks is expecting at the forum area!
