Ch.ACO celebrates its 10-year anniversary and opens application process for 2018 exhibitors

This year, Chile’s international contemporary art fair will take place starting November 22nd through November 26th in Santiago, and will provide a complete and varied cultural agenda for international visitors.

Since its first edition in 2009, Ch.ACO Art Fair has consolidated itself as a transversal diffusion and transaction platform for contemporary art works from all over the world. This year, for its 10-year anniversary, the project seeks to deepen its contribution to the contemporary art scene in the region, activating and connecting different cultural and commercial agents in order to provide a complete cultural agenda during the entire month of November. Through different alliances, many restaurants, venues, galleries, workshops, and art agents will be made available to the context of the fair and will develop their own program so as to contribute to the complete art and social calendar. Furthermore, art institutions will host different seminars, conversations and workshops for both adults and kids, and itinerary art works will be spread out all over Santiago’s public spaces, so as to connect the art scene with the community and generate a complete contemporary art ambient in the city. For this anniversary edition, Ch.ACO will take place in November, starting Thursday the 22nd and finalizing Monday the 26th. Also for the first time, the fair has incorporated functional changes, like the new application system for galleries and exhibitors, which is made available through the IT Gallery online platform. To top it off, Ch.ACO has a new external advisory committee in charge of selecting the exhibitors, made up by known art agents from Latin-America, like Patricia Ready (Chilean gallerist), Bernardita Mandiola (Head of AMA Foundation), Giancarlo Scaglia (Peruvian gallerist), Juan Carlos Bendana-Pinel (art collector and gallerist), and Ignacio Szmulewicz (Chilean curator).
