Volkshaus Basel, a compound smoothly renovated by acclaimed Swiss architects Herzog & de Meuron that contains various cultural highlights such as a bar, restaurant, event spaces, a club, a biergarten and soon also a hotel. Volkshaus Basel is located on Rebgasse 12-14 that is less than 700 meters away from Art Basel fairground.
why.photography has established itself within museums and the art market within the last decade. During Art Basel week, we want to enhance and nourish the creative trade of all the major art players within and around photography.
Day entrance: 15.- / 20.- with show cataloguephoto basel was launched in 2015 as the first and only photography art fair in Switzerland. photo basel runs parallel to Art Basel in June. In this fourth edition, photo basel shows more than 450 works by over 100 artists coming from 22 nations – all represented by 35 exhibitors ranging from Colombia to Finland and Switzerland.
