Meet in Beijing – 2008 Grand Culture Event for the Olympic Games

The 3rd annual Art Beijing Contemporary Art Fair will take place in Beijing from September 6 to 9, 2008 at the China National Agricultural Exhibition Center. The youngest art fair in China recently joined the program “Meet in Beijing - 2008 Grand Culture Events for the Olympic Games“, became the official partner of the greatest sporting event in the world.

Art Beijing is the most important platform for Asian art in the world with over 80% of participating galleries based in Asia. The Art Beijing 2008 will be characterized by "Young, Fresh, and Forward-thinking," encompassing trends in contemporary art evolution in China. 120 galleries, 50,000 visitors, over 200 leading media representatives and 3,000 VIPs including museum directors, curators, art critics, gallery directors, collectors, and celebrities are expected to attend.

Working in collaboration with avant-garde art centers such as 798 Factory, Caochangdi Art Area and Huantie Art Zone, Art Beijing 2008 will present a series of evening outdoor performances and high-end parties throughout the city, offering the public another extraordinary international event in 2008 coinciding with the closing of the Olympic Games.
