 In original XV century Tuscan Renaissance tabernacle-style hand-carved parcel gilded and polychromed frame, with plain sloping predella and  flanking Doric pilasters (compare the very similar frame reproduced in “ The book of Picture Frames” by Claus Grimm, Abaris Books New York, 1981 p69 ill#35)
