This original etching is hand signed in pencil by the artist "Jacques Villon" at the lower right margin.

It is also inscribed “tiré à 50” [pull of 50], at the lower left margin.

Our impression is one of 50 impressions printed in 1921. They were annotated but not numbered.

Villon reprinted the same etching in 1955 in the book Eloge de Jacques Villon by Jacques Lassaigne in an edition of 200.

The work is additionally signed and dated in the lower left image.

The paper bears a partial Arches watermark in the lower right margin.
