The two watercolors depict two little shepherds dressed in the costumes of the Lazio folk tradition. Achille de Dominicis was initiated into art by his father, an amateur painter, and continued his studies in Rome, specializing in landscape and genre subjects under the guidance of Filippo Prosperi, attending courses at the Academy of Fine Arts specializing in landscape.
