For over 40 years, Julio Pacheco-Rivas has been producing abstract geometric paintings and assemblages, mainly in large format, dealing with the notion of urban spaces and utopias. Urban spaces through the representation of architectural elements or everyday objects, of which he retains only the structure, and which he places in multiple perspectives. Utopias through work on shadows and their projection in space, creating optical illusions.
