Master BENIMELI studied engraving by the hand of the first Spanish woman Professor of Fine Arts, Mrs. Encarnación Rubio. They met at the San Fernando Superior School of Fine Arts in Madrid as a student and teacher. They separated for many years until they both met in Alicante at the end of the 70s and they would not separate until the death of Mrs. Encarnación. Together they worked on the engraving in Master BENIMELI's studio. Both produced some brilliant creations. BENIMELI sought his contemporary creation while the teacher RUBIO, a virtuoso of drawing, preferred sacred and landscape recreations. This undated work was made in 1993 according to Master BENIMELI and although the soccer player Messi was not born, I have titled this work that turned out to be "unique" (state proof and not one more copy) given the sports news that we live.
