Working with the inherent movement of colour has characterised the various groups of works in Rainer Splitt's oeuvre since the 1990s.
Elementary actions set the colour in motion; not the artist, but the colour itself creates its form.
Pourings on boards are boards that are erected immediately after the paint has been poured and allow the paint to flow down following its gravity. The resulting trace surprises with its precision and individual form.
