Dubuffet constantly challenged all the achievements in art. Recognized as a pioneer of informal Art, his work is experimental. He is an inventor of imaginary forms and delivers works of astonishing quality, true masterpieces of inventiveness. Dubuffet sweeps away the established order.
His painting becomes a “site”, and in the cavities appear archetypes of characters seeming to visit this phantasmagorical landscape. The artist lets his creative freedom explode and gives the painting a powerful breath.
To the audacity of the line, is added that of the color and takes pleasure in making it burst into bright, intense and violent tones: Red, Blue, Yellow and Black!
