Verso authentication. One of my father, Michael Pabst's, passions was to rediscover forgotten modern artists. One of these artists was Hans Haffenrichter, a student at the Bauhaus and particularly strong in his work of the 1920s. An important theme in his works was cosmic energy. He dealt with this theme both spiritually and scientifically. Michael Pabst wrote about this work in the Pabst Gallery's catalogue 29: "Through abstraction, but above all by brightening the objects, Haffenrichter's motifs become transparent in the late 1920s; everything material seems to lose its solidity and is flooded with light.
