This collotype with pochoir is hand signed in blue crayon “Picasso” at the lower right corner.
The plate has also been signed by Picasso in the lower left.
It is hand numbered in pencil from the edition of 350, at the lower left margin.
The work was published by Guy Spitzer in 1963 in a limited edition of 350 impressions.
The blindstamp of the publisher is in the lower image, as issued.
This work is based on Picasso's oil painting of the same title that was painted on the 30th March 1963 in Mougins (Zervos Vol. XXIII:198).

Note: Picasso’s Le Peintre II was created using hand applied Pochoir colouring, this is a unique technique in printmaking that closely resembles painted watercolours. The pochoir technique is applied to the finished print, thereby intensifying colour and making each print unique. The pochoir in this print can be found along the shadow of the painter’s head, canvas, and arm.

Condition: Good condition. A pale band of mount staining in the margins. Remnants of asheive tape along the sheet edges, verso. This tape runs through the Spitzer ink stamp, verso.
